The company joins the data-driven impact programme hosted at OGR Torino.

Turin, Italy — 14 July 2026. Glassless was selected among 30 companies to participate in Phase 1 of the Impact Deal accelerator and subsequently advanced as one of 15 finalists to Phase 2 of the programme's fourth edition. Organised by TOPIX and Fondazione CRT and hosted at OGR Torino, Impact Deal is a data-driven acceleration programme supporting European impact ventures in developing measurable solutions to social and environmental challenges.

Six months inside the Impact Deal ecosystem

Over the course of the six-month programme, Glassless connected with organisations across the Impact Deal ecosystem, developing opportunities for collaboration with key technology and innovation partners including IT4LIA and AI4I. Through the programme, Glassless gained access to Leonardo, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers, located in Bologna, providing additional computing resources to support the development and training of its vision-correcting algorithm.

A data-driven acceleration model

Impact Deal combines acceleration, impact measurement, expert mentorship and access to data and technology resources to help startups translate innovative solutions into measurable impact. A central element of the programme is its Data Club, which connects participating ventures with public and proprietary datasets, corporates, institutions and other ecosystem partners to develop data-driven solutions and new opportunities for collaboration. The programme also provides access to a network of mentors, investors and organisations supporting the development and scale-up of impact ventures.

For Glassless, the programme provided an opportunity to further connect the development of its vision-correcting technology with a data-driven approach to measuring and validating its impact. The company has completed human validation across two studies involving 31 participants, covering both an induced-defocus model and a feasibility study with presbyopic users using its Android build.

Demo Day at OGR Torino

The programme culminated in a Demo Day at OGR Torino, bringing together partners, investors, mentors and members of the wider innovation ecosystem. During the event, Glassless presented its new pilot programme, designed to help companies integrate its software directly into applications, enabling people aged 40 and over to interact with digital services without relying on reading glasses.

“In the last 15 years, countless devices, from MP3 players to clocks, have been integrated into a single device that easily fits in our pocket. It is now time to replace century-old reading glasses with a future-proof solution: Glassless.”

The completion of the Impact Deal programme marks another step in Glassless' development as it moves from technology validation towards commercial pilots and partnerships. The company is now working with organisations across sectors including financial services, transportation and digital services to explore the integration of its vision-correcting software directly into applications and digital experiences.
